Your Partner in Aggregate Analysis
Fjordlab is a newly established aggregate laboratory located at Mibau Stema Norway's facility in Jelsa, along the scenic Sandsfjord.
As an independent unit within the Mibau Stema Group, we specialise in commercial laboratory services for customers in the mineral, concrete, aggregate and offshore industries.
Fjordlab has extensive expertise and experience in product and testing standards related to CE documentation.
Since October 2025, we have been the first ISO 17025 accredited aggregate laboratory for physical and mechanical testing methods. This means that we can now offer our customers the highest quality standard in analysis results.

Our Services
Fjordlab AS provides high-quality analytical services to both Norwegian and international customers. We specialize in testing aggregates, focusing on their geometric, mechanical, physical, and chemical properties.
Our current service offerings include:
- NS-EN 933-1 Sieve analyses, fines content
- NS-EN 933-3/4 Grain shape, chipping index
- NS-EN 1097-6 Grain density and water absorption
- NS-EN 1097-2 cl. 5 Resistance to fragmentation (Los Angeles)
- NS-EN 1744-1 cl. 7 Chloride content
- NS-EN 1744-1 cl. 15.1/2 Humus content
- EN 1097-9 Resistance to studded tire wear (Ball mill)
- NS-EN 1097-1 Resistance to abrasion (MicroDeval)
Fjordlab also offers third-party testing services, where we, as a competent and impartial party, can witness sampling and/or test analyses to ensure compliance with testing procedures and results in accordance with relevant CE standards or customer requirements.
